image.object is a series of paintings, depicting objects which capture, manipulate and distribute images. From smart phones to a WiFi Router, from a VR headset to a gameboy, this series acts as an archive of objects, bringing attention to the relationship between technology and society.
Painting is both an activity and an object. The minimal, grey palette of this series brings attention to the construction of each painting – each brushstroke, each drip along the edge, coming together to form the image. Painting’s historical role in representing and distorting reality is crucial here.
