Chris Hayes is an artist and art critic, who lives and works in London.

Hayes is interested in contemporary culture, with specific reference to technology and digital contexts. Consistent throughout his practice is an interest in the politics of technology, and the relationship between the digital and the physical.

He graduated with a 1.1 BA in the Limerick School of Art and Design in 2015, while also working at the artist-led Cultural Resource Centre, Ormston House, until eventually becoming a Co-Director in 2016.

Awards include; Grants Under the Arts Act (2016), by Limerick Arts Office, Limerick City & County Council; shortlisted for the Graduate Residency Award (2015), by Temple Bar Gallery & Studios; Collector Generals Purchase Prize Award (2015), The Office of the Revenue Commissioners, Ireland.

His writing has been published by Critical Bastards, Paper Visual Art, Visual Artists of Ireland News Sheet, Irish Arts Review, and CIRCA. He was the first arts columnist with the Limerick Leader newspaper publishing reviews, interviews and features.
